Bantayan Island

Bantayan Island is a peaceful tropical island off the northwestern coast of Cebu. It is known for its powdery white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, laid-back atmosphere, fresh seafood, and excellent island-hopping opportunities. Compared with more famous Philippine islands, Bantayan offers a quieter and more authentic experience. Bantayan is the main and largest island of the Bantayan island group that lies close to the geographical center of the Philippine archipelago. The island group includes numerous smaller islands (some uninhabited or uninhabitable), mostly around the southwest corner of the island.

Getting There

Travel by bus or van (about 3–4 hours) to Hagnaya Port.

Take a ferry (about 1–1.5 hours) to Santa Fe Port.

Tricycles and motorbike rentals are available for getting around the island.
